Something had to give on Tuesday night in Price as two 5-1 teams met up. Carbon welcomed the Juab Wasps to Price and after a late start, the game did not disappoint, except for the Dinos coming up on the wrong side of a 62-61 score.

Carbon came in to the contest on a three game winning streak defeating South Summit on Friday night. Juab were winners in their last five contests, with their last victory coming on Wednesday the 16th against Maeser Prep.

This was a battle early on going back and forth with Juab taking a slim three point lead into the locker room at halftime. They would push that lead to 46-38 after three. The Dinos would own quarter number four, but would come up just short, falling by one.

Noah Bradford led the way for the Dinos with 16 points and pulled down five rebounds. Preston Condie added 14 with 7 rebounds, and Rylan Hart would come off the bench to add 11. Max Lancaster with eight and Caleb Winfree with six points and five assist plus Merrick Morgan and his six points and five rebounds round out the stat line for Carbon.

For the Wasps Ty Allred led all scorers with 23, while Dawson Olson added 13 and Brendan Allred had 12 in the win.

Carbon now heads to the Christmas break with a 5-2 record. They will have some time off as they will not take to the floor again until January 5th when they welcome the Judge Memorial Bulldogs to Price.

The first region match-up will be on January 8th when they will face South Sevier at home.
