Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and longtime friend to many, Frank J. Martinez, 80, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife by his side December 25, 2020.

Frank was born in Wyoming on December 27, 1939 to Eva Martinez. He Grew up in Price, Utah and later moved to Salt Lake City. Frank worked for Kennecott Copper Mine for 32 years. Frank also worked as a security guard for Honeywell Security for 17 years. He later moved back to Price where he reconnected with the love of his life, Betty Montoya. Frank and Betty were married on March 14, 2003 in Helper.

Frank loved spending time with his family, which included riding ATVs in the mountains and the deserts around eastern Utah with his good friend Johnny Gutierrez. Frank had a special bond with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Frank enjoyed carving canes and knives out of the many types of wood he would find while camping.

Frank may not have enjoyed going camping, gambling, or fishing, but he did enjoy spending time with his loved ones and making his wife happy; he did these things for her. Frank will be dearly missed by all, but we know we will see him again.

Frank is survived by his wife Betty; daughter, Jerrylynn (Brett) Niederhauser; sons, Gary R. (Terry) Martinez, David (Roberta) Martinez, Jamie (Chrystal) Keysaw, Robert (Terry) Keysaw; stepchildren he loved as his own, Trish (Bryan) Frandsen, Rosalie (Dennis) Gutierrez, Helen (Leon) Crandall; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Frankylee Keysaw.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Castleview Hospital, Parkdale Health and Rehab and Symbii Home Health and Hospice. Also, special thanks to the men and women of the Helper Police and Fire departments, with special thanks to Chaplin Lasslo, Rick Stockburger, Diane Dalpiaz, Cam Williams, Trent Anderson, and Matt Montoya for your continued love and care for Frank.

Private family services were held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
