
Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, Gary Dean Tucker, 72, passed away December 27, 2020 in Spring Glen.
He was born March 5, 1948 in Price, Utah to Max Earnest and Norma Jane Timothy Tucker. Shortly after graduating from Emery High, Gary enlisted in the US Air Force where he served during Vietnam. On December 19, 1970, he married Carma Jane Newbill in Elmo, Utah. Gary and Carma were blessed with four children.
Gary was a lifelong resident of the area who worked at various mines in Carbon and Emery counties. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Deer Creek Local. He dedicated his life to family and was extremely proud of his children and their accomplishments. Gary loved the outdoors, especially taking his children horseback riding. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and guitar, and collecting coins. Gary loved nothing more than caring for family and he wanted to share every moment with his loved ones.
He is survived by his children, Jason (Tracy) Tucker, Elko, NV, Troy Tucker, Spring Glen, Tricia (Greg) Fisher, Twin Falls, ID, Amy (Mace) Jensen, Montrose, CO; brother, Max Lee (Eva) Tucker, Elmo, sister, Renee Thayn, Wellington, sister-in-law, Margie Tucker, brother, Tommy Tucker, Elmo, sister, Darla Schade, Elmo, brother, Monte (Pat) Tucker, Elmo; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Earnal Tucker; and brothers-in-law, Jess Thayn and Garold Schade.
Graveside service, Monday, January 4, 2021, 2:00 p.m., Cleveland Town Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Monday afternoon from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside.
