
William Edgar Colby (AKA) “Gummer,” 74, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Price on December 31, 2020.
He was born September 2, 1946 in Huntington, Utah to Eldwin R. Colby and Zina Loree Marshall. He married Marveline J. Dobson in Panguitch, Utah on November 27, 1971. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple on November 19, 2013. Together they raised five children: Sherie Colby, Rodney (Judy) Colby, Rachelle Colby, Brent (Hillary) Colby, and Judy Colby (Ryan Ortiz). They have 19 grandkids and nine great-grandkids.
He worked as a coal miner for most of his life. He loved fishing, working on his Dune Buggy and his ‘60 Chevy Pickup; but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marveline, their children and their families, including a very extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters; two brothers; and his daughter, Rachelle.
Family will receive friends at the Huntington Stake Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021. A graveside service will follow at the Huntington City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
