Region 12 remains the dominate division in the 3A classification ahead of a new week of girls high school basketball.

Climbing four spots in the latest RPI, the Emery Lady Spartans are now the No. 1 team in the classification following a victory over the formerly No. 1 Carbon Dinos. Richfield has jumped back to No. 2, followed by Judge Memorial, Carbon and South Sevier.

The Lady Spartans will continue play on Tuesday as they host No. 18 Grand. The week will come to a close with another home contest on Thursday against No. 11 San Juan.

No. 4 Carbon will to rebound as they make the longest region trip of year Tuesday against San Juan. The week will come to a close Thursday at home against Grand.

The Pinnacle Lady Panthers are currently No. 12 as they prepare for games against American Prep on both Wednesday and Friday. Pinnacle is currently 2-6 on the season.
