The Lady Panthers of Pinnacle took to the court for the first time in a couple weeks as they traveled to play the American Prep Eagles in West Valley City on Wednesday. Only allowing the Eagles to score 14 points in the contest, the Panthers claimed a 20-14 victory.

American Prep struggled to put points on the board as they were held scoreless in two quarters and only managed two points in the fourth.

Aryanna Paul scored six points for the Eagles. Jenna Coleman added 4 and Ariet Ocwor scored four.

For the Panthers Livet Pinal led all scorers with nine, Jacee Atwood and Alana Lunelli scored four points each while Destinee Andrews added three.

Pinnacle now sits at 2-12 on the season and at No. 12 in the RPI rankings compiled by the Utah State Activities Association, These rankings will be used for Seed in the State Championship tournament.

Up next will be another meeting with American Prep on Friday at the Pinnacle gym in Price. Tip-off is set for 5:30.

Then on Monday they will travel to Moab to take on the Grand County Red Devils.
