Paul Peterson, 72, died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, January 21, 2021.

He was born February 6, 1948 in Granger, Utah to Henry and Selma Brown Peterson.

Paul enlisted in the US Navy when he was 17 years old and served four years.

He spent a few years working with his father as tour guides and took the visitors on horses to their destinations. Paul loved working as a mechanic and a machinist.  He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed restoring cars from the bottom up with beautiful paintjobs and designs.  Paul started a business with his cousin David Barnes rebuilding engines, building airplanes, ultralights, motorized power shoots and so much more.

In 1977, he married the love of his life Lydia Wingate and he gained an instant family.  Lydia had three young daughters, Audrey, Heidi and Karen; they were happy and took to him instantly. Paul loved them very much and to him they were his own. He was always there to help them with school projects, fixing their cars and everything they needed throughout their lives.

He enjoyed going to air shows in Denver, watching NASCAR races, and going to the Quartzsite Rock and Gem Show in Arizona.  Paul was always interested in the news and he loved watching the History Channel. Lately he enjoyed watching old shows such as Gunsmoke, the Lone Ranger, Perry Mason, Mash Trains and American Pickers.

He is survived by his brother, Brent Peterson; sister, Vonelle Riley (Dave); his wife, Lydia Peterson; his lovely daughters, Audrey Misner and Heidi Solokis (Steve); many nieces and nephews; his grandchildren, Dustin Barker, Tanner Barker (Arlae), Trevor Wilson (Christine), Mackenzie Coon (Standley), Chance Misner (Chrystal), and Max Misner; and 11 wonderful great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his sisters, Karmen Koch, Leah Dawn Rosenkilde; parents, Selma and Henry Peterson; his youngest daughter, Karen Wilson (Troy); and grandson, Cory Macklin Misner.
