Alex Albert Lopez, 59, a life-long resident of East Carbon, passed away peacefully January 26, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo.

He was born April 25, 1961 in Price, Utah to Eliasim and Gloria Marquez Lopez. He married the love of his life, Bernadine Annette Hernandez in East Carbon. Together they raised three loving children: Jesse, Alexis, and Sara.

Alex had a passion for vintage cars and classic rock. He could often be found working on his vehicles and rockin’ out to his favorite tunes. His true passion; however, was his family. He adored his wife and children and spent many hours playing with his grandkids and visiting with friends. He was an amazing grandfather, father, husband and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Bernadine Lopez, East Carbon; son, Jesse Hernandez (Amelia), Price; daughters, Alexis (Cody) Valdez, East Carbon, Sara Schindele, Arizona; mother, Gloria Lopez; brother, Daniel (Lisa) Lopez, Huntington; sisters, Marie (Jack) Williams, Salt Lake, Elaine (Orie) Gurule, Price; four grandchildren, Bryelle, K’ysin, Josiah and Addison.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eliasim Lopez; brother, David Lopez; infant brother, Julian Lopez, and brother-in-law, David Rampa.

Funeral Mass, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, 10:00 AM, Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Committal Service, Mt. View Cemetery in Helper, Utah.
