Ralph Gerald Pruitt, 71, of Huntington, Utah, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and best friend, passed away peacefully February 5, 2021 after a battle with cancer.

Ralph was born in Fresno, California on December 14, 1949 to Jack and Ione Collins Pruitt.

He lived most of his life in Huntington where he worked at Huntington Elementary for over 35 years. He retired in 2013.

Ralph loved collecting his “treasures” and shopping for more treasures.  He also enjoyed traveling, fishing (with his best fishing buddy, Dennis Gordon), camping, and riding in the RZR.  He always enjoyed decorating for the holidays and dressing up for Halloween.

He is survived by his wife Neadath of 43 years; daughter Shelly Neadath Pruitt-Ettel (Adam Hotzel); sister, Virginia Paoli; grandchildren, Taylor Ettel, Brianna Hotzel (Justin Williams); great-grandchildren, Rorie and Lorelai Williams; grand dogs, Hemi and Diesel; lifelong friends, Donna Majors, Norman and Lorraine Dingman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Brad Ralph Pruitt; parents, Warner Grant (Jack) Pruitt, Ione Mollie Collins Pruitt; father, and mother-in-law, Theodore Rudolph Lund, Nellie Remola Lund; sister, Ginger Maier; and son-in-law, Donald Ettel.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of Rocky Mountain Hospice. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last few months were a heartwarming blessing to Neadath and Shelly.

Graveside service, Friday, February 12, 2021, 12:00 noon, Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E. Dimple Road/10600 South) in Sandy, Utah.  Family will receive friends at the Huntington Stake Center Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome to share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
