Joel Dee Miller passed on to his next journey on February 5, 2021, at the age of 53.

He began his life on the first day of spring in 1967. From that point on, he chose to live his life fast and full of adventure. Some of Joel’s passions included: his dogs, demolition derbies, getting old machines to work like new, water skiing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and racecars. His ponderous soul never saw anything at a surface level and he was always providing a new and profound perspective. Joel saw life as a fascinating puzzle that he wanted to solve. When he stumbled upon a new interest, he would not stop until he had it mastered and would then move on to the next captivating challenge. He instantly had a knack for anything that involved using his hands, from mechanics to art. Joel loved to utilize his problem-solving and mechanical skills to improve the lives of all his loved ones. If his hands weren’t working on his latest project, they were being used to bring one of his many exciting stories to life.

There was never a dull moment when Joel was around; his unique sense of humor along with his stubborn attitude insisted that every second was filled with something exciting and meaningful.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Miller; children and grandchildren, Morgan Miller (Annzlie and Lyndie), Judson Miller, Taylor Snow (Ridge and River), Tealan (Trevor) McOmber (Chloe, Bannen and Carsyn), Taven Miller, Teren Miller, Daxton Miller, Addie Miller, Becca Miller; siblings, Maurdi (Blair) Larsen, Mikay Potter, Sterling (Shirley) Miller, Gretsel (Andy) Marshall; stepfather, Clifford Oviatt; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, VerLynn Oviatt and Hans Miller; grandparents, Harriett and Frank Jensen, Gretsel and Lieb Miller; sister, Mikell Miller; and niece Rachel Miller.

There will be no service at this time.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Joel online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
