
Sherry Lamont Rutherford, 85, passed away February 12, 2021 at Pinnacle Care & Rehabilitation in Price.
He was born June 10, 1935 in Price, Utah to Daniel Nelson and Myrtle Farnsworth Rutherford. On August 29, 1959, he married Clara Pretiger at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
Sherry was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who honorably served in the US Army. He was talented craftsman who began working alongside Rudy Scartezina in the auto body business at an early age. Eventually opening Sherry’s Paint-N-Body where he shared his talents with his boys. Sherry was an extremely talented handyman who could fix or repair anything. He enjoyed everything from building his own home to repairing cars. When he wasn’t at work, you could always find Sherry working around the home, doing taxidermy, or planning for the next adventure. He loved working on cars and he made many lifelong friends while in business.
Sherry was a devoted family man who lived for his family. He was patient, kind and was always there to help his children. He shared a deep love for the outdoors and was proud to share his passion for the outdoors with his children. He loved hunting, fishing, and his excursions were very adventurous to say the least. There was never a dull moment during these adventures and the memories he created will be cherished forever. Rest in peace Dad, you’ll be missed dearly. We love you Dad.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Rutherford, daughter, Jodi (Steven) Johnson, Jeff Rutherford, Mark (Teri) Rutherford, all of Price; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Levi, Eric, Sara, Carlie, Jace and Abby; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Michael S. Johnson; and a brother, Calvin Hamilton.

Graveside service for Sherry will be Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 2:00 p.m., at the Price City Cemetery.
