February 16, 1996 the sports cult classic Happy Gilmore was released to theatres nationwide. The slapstick style comedy featured Adam Sandler as a former hockey player turned golfer. The film also had several key supporting roles, such as legendary game show host Bob Barker and one of the greatest play by play broadcasters in Verne Lundquist.
