
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and longtime friend, Ronald Allen Fossat, 74, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2021.
He was born May 27, 1946 in Price, Utah to Ralph and Lois Draper Fossat. Ron married Irene Huntsman, June 6, 1970 in Castle Dale, Utah; their marriage was sealed in the Manti Temple on August 2, 1975.
Ron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was lifelong resident of Carbon County who honorably served four years in the US Army. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Kaiser Steel Local #9958.
Ron loved the outdoors, especially sharing many fond memories with family at his second home in Joes Valley. He loved hunting, four-wheeling, and playing cards with his friends and family. Ron had a rough exterior, but he had a big tender heart of gold. He will be sorely missed by his family and a community of friends.
Survivors include his loving wife, Irene Fossat, Price; daughter, Amy Lynn (Ray) Giles, Price; sons, Douglas Ralph (Lisa) Fossat, Washington, IL, David Leland Fossat, Elko, NV; grandchildren, Emilee, Jessica, Nathan and Tanner Giles, Hunter and Austin Fossat, Jasmyn, Dariyen, Daeylen, Shynaely, Daniel, Stedsyn and Areiya Fossat; one great-grandson, Atreus; brother, Ray Louis (Kathy) Fossat, Cedar City, UT; sister, Lianne (Mike) Milovich, Price; sister-in-law, Rosalie Fossat, Price; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lisa Dawn Fossat; and a brother, Gene Fossat.
