“Bob” Robert Lee Barney passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 of Covid-19 complications at Utah Valley Hospital, he was 72. He was born July 21, 1948, to William R. and Darlene Barney. He grew up in Midvale, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High School.   Bob was a Train Engineer and worked for both the Rio Grande and Union Pacific Railroads throughout Utah and Colorado. He eventually retired as an engineer after 37 years. Bob loved building, creating, and painting historical models of various scales and sizes. Bob’s other real passion was the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, rock and bottle hunting, river rafting, camping, etc.  Bob was also an avid gun enthusiast, artist, and story teller who loved teaching and passing on his knowledge.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, his two sons; William (Heidi) and Mathew (PJ), two wonderful grandchildren and an extended family.
