Price City each month sends a representative to Castle Country Radio to keep listeners posted or informed on various topics. This month the update was with Price City Council Member, Amy Knott-Jespersen who spoke on the city’s upcoming St Patrick Day Parade which will be held on March 20 at 12:00 pm.

“We were really encouraged by Helper’s Christmas Light Parade and how many people turned out for that. You know everybody was in masks and trying to social distance as much as they could. But that event was really successful for two straight nights the place was packed. So that was encouraging, kind gives a little more comfort in like maybe its time to hold the St. Patrick’s Day Parade,” stated Knott-Jespersen. This event is held every year except for last year due to the COVID pandemic. It’s exciting for the city to be able to host it this year for the community.

“So anybody can enter the parade or enter and register for a float in the parade or an entry, it doesn’t have to be a float it can be a group walking or whatever. But they just need to go to Price City’s web page and the entry form will be right on that website it’s in bold letters, its right on the home page, so right on the first page, it’s easy to see,” said Knott-Jespersen. Online registration for the parade is free and open to anyone in the community. One of the benefits in participating in the parade is it’s a wonderful advertisement opportunity for any businesses, sports teams, schools and civic organizations.

“So obviously masks are encouraged, social distancing. You know stay with your family group and just keep yourself safe. Of course, if you’re sick, not feeling well, if you’re in the high-risk group, probably not come to the parade. There will be more, there will be others, other opportunities to do that,” said Knott-Jespersen.
