Price City is gearing up for their St Patrick’s Day Parade and they are excited to be hosting it this year since last year it was cancelled. Price City Council Member, Rick Davis came into Castle Country Radio to talk about the event as well as the Desert Wave Pool and International Days Golf Tournament.
“We are going to have a St Patrick’s Day Parade and you know that is one of the things, you know you exactly right we are trying to get back to normal, keep yourself safe but come on out and enjoy the parade. While you are down there you know if you have the opportunity down there, let’s go out and support our local businesses. See what they have available, you know just go into the stores and shop and get back to normal,” said Davis. The parade is scheduled to take place on March 20 on the city’s Main Street. It will begin at 12:00 pm and run-down Main Street to 100 West. If you would like to participate in the parade you can sign up on the city’s website.
“You know one of the things that’s been opened all the way through the COVID 19 pandemic is the swimming pool. We’re going to continue to do that. Just call up if you want to go swimming, call up to the swimming pool make a reservation and then just enjoy yourself,” stated Davis. The Desert Wave Pool is open Monday through Saturday for leisure and/or lap swimming. Individuals that wish to make a reservation for themselves, family or a birthday party can call (435) 637-SWIM.
Not too far away is the International Days Golf Tournament in July and officials are taking registrations now, remember space is limited. “The golf tournament is going to be July 31. Its going to be limited to, I believe, probably 35 teams, 32 teams, something like that. But we are taking bookings now, okay, get your teams together, plan on coming out, we’re going to have a great time,” said Davis. Further information and details of the event will come at a later date but players can contact the Carbon Country Club at (435) 637-2388.
