We have a guest speaker that is going to be there he works for the State and Park Recreation he’ll be our guest speaker,” stated Sorensen. This is a potluck style banquet where the main dish will be served by the Castle Country OHV Association which will be ham. All guests are asked to please bring their favorite dish to share with others at the dinner. Following the dinner, the Castle Country OHV Association will host some opportunity drawings for guests to enjoy throughout the evening and will have fun activities for the kids to enjoy as well.
The group recently designed a new website for folks to enjoy and learn more about the organization. “We have Mr. James Kirby that has helped us get this new website developed and its very user friendly, it’s http://www.castlecountryohva.org/index.php and you can go in there and see what we do. You can see our last rides, there’s picture posted and then you can click a link it says join us,” said Sorensen. Individuals can complete their membership application and pay the fee online if they choose to. They can also find out about upcoming rides and see a gallery of pictures of all the rides.
The Castle Country OHV Association would really like to invite folks to be a part of this wonderful organization. “We enjoy going and seeing places that you can’t get to by just an automobile and so we have organized rides. We can do campouts, camp sites. We do cook outs at the camp site after the Saturday night rides. We’re also doing a Poker Run in April. We have our list of rides already on our website and they are planned out clear until December,” stated Sorensen. Membership meetings are held the last Thursday of the month at the Carbon County Senior Center.
