Las Vegas, NV – The 4th ranked Lady Eagles found themselves facing the wrong side of a sweep Wednesday night as they battled the College of Southern Nevada on the road.  Down two sets to zero against the Coyotes (22-25 and 22-25), the Lady Eagles were able to zone in on their game and take three straight sets defeating CSN 3-2 (25-18, 25-23, and 15-5).

“We can’t wait until we are on the ropes to make the adjustments and play to our potential,” stated head coach Danielle Jensen.  “This team is hard to stop when we limit errors and when our passers allow the offense an opportunity to execute at the net.  It took too long to get to that point tonight as CSN came out with intense energy and a nothing-to-lose mentality.  I hope the team realized how important it is to be all-in from the first serve of the game so that they don’t risk beating themselves mentally.”

Freshman outside hitter Kamryn Wiese played a critical role in the comeback win with 12 kills, 17 digs, and 3 aces against the Coyotes.  Rachel West chalked up 8 blocks as Camber Dodson led in assists with 20.  Emma Ricks had 21 digs on the defensive side of the net.

USU Eastern will play their final road game of the regular season against No. 3 Snow College this Friday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m.  In an important game for Scenic West standings, the Lady Eagles understand the implications of what is expected to be an epic battle between the #3 and #4 programs in the nation.   USU Eastern has handed the Badgers their only two losses on the season.  They currently are in a three-way tie for first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
