The Carbon Dino tennis club held their first match of the season on Thursday welcoming in the Uintah Utes from Vernal. Gaining two wins in singles matches, it wasn’t enough as Uintah would claim the competition 3 matches to 2.

In the No. 1 singles match Preston Condie claimed a straight set victory 6-4 and 6-4. Jack Livingston would claim victory in his match as well in straight sets 6-2,6-2.

The Dinos are coming off a shortened shortened season where they registered a 2-2 record. The Dinos have a busy schedule ahead of them. They will open region play on April 13 on the road in San Juan. They will also travel to tournaments in St. George and Vernal in April. The region tournament will be held in Richfield this year on May 14 and then they will wrap up the season with the 3A State Tournament on May 20 in Salt lake City at Liberty Park.

No. 2 Doubles- Camden Chamberlain/Zach Gregersen lost to Logan S./Noah C 3-6, 6-7
