The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their Traveling Traeger Contest to end on March 31 and Executive Director, Jennifer Acklin stopped by Castle Country Radio to talk about the contest as well as about an upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony and monthly board meeting.

The Traveling Traeger has been at several different businesses during the duration of the contest and it’s currently on display at Cache Valley Bank.  “Tomorrow will be the last day to enter in for the drawing. All you have to do is go to our events page on our website cccc@carboncountychamber.net you take a picture of a receipt where you’ve spent $20.00 or more at a member business. There is a list of businesses that are part of the chamber. You take a picture of that receipt and you email it to me and you get entered in for the Traeger drawing. It’s kind of cool because you could essentially get this thing for free as well,” stated Acklin. Everyone is automatically entitled to one free entry by emailing your name and phone number to the Chamber before midnight on March 31.

There is a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled to take place out in East Carbon next month. “So this one is going to be for PJs Transportation is planned for April 14. She is currently waiting on a second van and it’s going to be in front of Shepherd’s Café over in East Carbon. We recently did a ribbon cutting there as well. She overheard and wants to get involved and we’re really excited for her,” said Acklin. Shepherds Café is located at 129 East Whitmore Street.

There is an upcoming board meeting which is regularly held the first Thursday of the month. “The public, and our businesses are welcome to come. We usually discuss our events that are coming up, we like to plan and coordinate that beforehand, at least a month or two in advance. We would love everyone’s input. We would love to know where we should allocate some of the funds that we’ve received over these grants that have happened over the past year with COVID and everything. We would love to hear everybody’s input on that. We want to be better so the more eyes, the more ears, the more opinions, the better we can become,” stated Acklin.
