
Gwendolyn Donaldson, age 66, passed away on April 7, 2021 in Price, Utah.
She was born July 23, 1954 in Price, Utah to Walter M. and Connie L. Donaldson.
Gwen graduated from Carbon High School, received an Associate in Science Degree from the College of Eastern Utah and attended Utah State University.
She worked as a PBX operator and in admitting at Carbon/Castleview Hospital for 37 years. She made lifelong friends with fellow work associates and with those who walked through the front door. She received the Dr. Frist Humanitarian Award, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate a level of commitment and caring that goes beyond everyday acts of kindness, and who inspire others with their compassion, dedication, and spirit.
Gwen loved music. She sang in quartets, played the French horn, the piano, and the baritone. She excelled in softball, volleyball, swimming, and other sports. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving faithfully in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations. She honorably served in the Winnipeg/Manitoba Canada Mission in Canada.
Survived by her siblings, Kelly (Kelly) Donaldson, Chris Donaldson, Joseph (Kristy) Donaldson, Tracy (Paul) Hofer, Scott Donaldson, Brady (Rebecca) Donaldson, Barbara (Burke) Torgerson, David (Debbie) Donaldson, Mary Dawn (Kent) Shorts, Walter (Claudia) Donaldson, Connie (Brent) Barker and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father and mother; sisters Debra and Joan; brother Casey and other beloved family members and friends.
“Gwennie” was loved by all and will be missed by many.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a public viewing on Monday, April 12, 2021, 5:00-7:00 PM, at the Price North Stake Center, 449 N 100 E, Price, Utah. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral for immediate family members will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 11:00 AM, at the Price North Stake Center, 449 N 100 E, Price, Utah. Face masks will be required at both the viewing and the funeral service. Gwen will be laid to rest in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price.
