The Dinos baseball team stayed perfect in Region 12 play with a 10-1 win over the Richfield Wildcats. Kade Dimick was locked in for the Dinos allowing just two hits and one run through six innings as Carbon cruised to it’s sixth conference win on Tuesday.

Carbon is sitting at 11-6 on the season and currently is No. 5 in the Utah High School Activities Association’s RPI rankings. The Dinos have seven games remaining on their schedule five of which are against region competition, plus games with Tooele and American Leadership Academy.

The Dinos jumped out early scoring four runs in the first inning. Jordan Fossat would get things started with a single to right allowing Rylan Hart to cross the plate. The next batter up was Kade Dimick who would help his own cause with a three run shot to left.  The Wildcats would add their only run in the top of the third when Dimick would walk in Max Robinson, after that Carbon pitching was locked in facing just 12 batters the rest of the game.

Carbon would add two more runs in the bottom of the third off a Hart single to center field.  A Hart single would get them started again in the fifth inning. Keaton Rich would double scoring Braxtin Henrie and Hart along with another Fossat single combined with an error on the third baseman would allow Rich to score pushing the score to the final of 10-1.

Rylan Hart had three RBI’s on the day to couple with his three hits and two runs. Kade Dimick would also total three RBIs in the contest. Keaton Rich added two and Jordan Fossat one RBI in the victory.

Dimick would shine on the mound going six innings and allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out nine and pushing his ERA for the season to 0.54, which lands him in the No. 8 spot in the state across all classes. Beau Vea would come in and close out the game going one inning giving up no runs and no hits on just 10 pitches.

Next up for the Dinos, they will travel to Richfield and take on the Wildcats on Friday.  On Tuesday of next week they will be in Castle Dale to take on the Spartans and then will face them again on Friday in Price, that game is set for 3:30.
