
The Carbon Dinos delivered a flawless performance as they earned a 5-0 victory over the Grand Red Devils Thursday afternoon in Price.
Senior Preston Condie made quick work of his opponent on the single’s side of the competition, earning a 6-3, 6-0 win. Jack Livingston also dominated his opponent as he too earned a straight sets win 6-0, 6-1.
The third singles win came as Leonard Livingston worked through an up and down battle. After winning the first set 7-6, he suffered a 0-6 defeat. The decisive set was one-sided as Livingston waltzed to a 6-1 win to claim the match.
Derrick Jorgensen and Alex Callahan managed to secure a doubles win for the Dinos in the most compelling match of the day. Needing a tie-breaker to win the first set 7-5, the duo finished off the competition in the second with a 6-4 win.
Camden Chamberlain and Zach Gregersen gave Carbon the most dominating win of the afternoon. Refusing to give up a single point, the two easily claimed a win 6-0, 6-0.
The tennis team will continue a very busy week by traveling to St. George for a weekend tournament on both Friday and Saturday. The next home meet will take place on Tuesday, April 20 against the Richfield Wildcats.
