Pattie Lee Gardner Hansen was welcomed into her daddy’s and Heavenly Father’s arms on April 14, 2021due to medical complications that led to organ failure, while surrounded by her loving family.
Pattie was born July 16, 1953 to Lowell LaMond and Sherma Lee Larsen Gardner at Hill Air Force Base. She married Chris Hansen, December 18, 1971 in Cleveland, Utah and later sealed for all eternity May 6, 1978 in the Manti Utah Temple.
Everyone has a purpose in life. Pattie’s purpose was service and family. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was always more than willing to help anyone in town, church, or her family. Pattie was an amazing grandma who devoted her life to caring for her grandkids. Her grandkids were her biggest joy and she loved them all unconditionally. She made an effort to attend every dance recital, school program, or sports event her kids and grandkids were involved in. Pattie was a pleaser; she would make everyone separate meals just to keep them happy. During calving or lamb shearing season, she always made sure her boys had Pepsi’s and ice-cold milk at the farm. She spent most of her time with her mother and best friend Sherma.
Pattie will be remembered by her family for her famous orange punch, puffed rice balls and chocolate dessert. Whenever you saw her, she had a baby on her hip or lap driving down main street in Cleveland. Her grandkids will tell you she would compete with them on who “loves who more” and she always won. They will miss the endless “I love you’s” and big hugs.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pattie and her loving husband Chris visited the temple often.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell LaMond Gardner; father-in-law, Aron Gale Hansen; and sister Mary Gardner.
Pattie is survived by her husband, Chris Hansen; mother, Sherma Gardner; mother-in-law, Leora Hansen; brother, Blake (Becky) Gardner; brothers-in-law, Lamar (Jean), David; sister-in-law, Caleen (Butch) Wilcox; sons, Bryant (Monica) Hansen, Brandon (Kimberly) Hansen, Bret (Crystal) Hansen; grandkids, Brittany (Sean), Brytan (Jessie), BryDee, Braxton, Bradyn, RyLee, Taigen, McKenzee, Jerriden, Brigstin, Braigen, Tuffdyn, Brinley, Braelyn, Brielle; and great-granddaughter, Brixlee Rayne; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
