The Carbon boys tennis team are going into the final stretch of the 2021 season. With just a handful of matches left before the Region 12 Tournament on May 14, the Dinos will look for every opportunity to prepare a run to state. On Tuesday they welcomed Richfield to Price to take on the Wildcats and claimed a 5-0 victory.

Senior Preston Condie, who has been turning in solid performances all season would once again take his match in straight sets 6-3 and 6-1.  Jack Livingston also won in straight sets 7-6, 6-1 and Leonard Livingston would round out the trio of singles matches 6-3 and 7-5.

On the doubles side, the team of Derrick Jorgensen and Branden Scoville would claim victory in their match 6-2 and 6-4 and in the only match that would go three sets Camden Chamberlain and  Zach Gregersen won 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.

The Dinos are on the road Thursday to face Wasatch Academy and then will head to Vernal for a weekend tournament. Carbon has a match at Gunnison on May 4 and then the final home match of the season with South Sevier will take place on May 6.

The Region 12 tournament will take place in Richfield on May 14 and the season wraps up with the State Tournament at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City on May 20-22.
