The Price Boys and Girls Club is winding down with their after-school program now that school is nearing the end of the school year. They are looking forward to hosting their summer programs which are slated to begin June 7. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Representative, Molly Mystrom to talk about all the fun being had at the club.

“We are going to be starting our Summer program on June 7 and our K through fifth graders, which is our Junior program are going to be from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, so we have extended those hours. Then our sixth through twelfth graders, our teens, are also Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm,” stated Mystrom. The extended hours are sure to help parents out with supervision during the summer months.

The club has several activities scheduled to take place during the summer months. “We’re looking at our Teen program doing some camping trips up to Joe’s Valley, doing some fishing. We are looking at doing some white-water rafting, we’re looking at doing the Hogle Zoo, the aquarium for both Juniors and Teens. Then our Junior’s program we’re looking at doing some wave pool, and doing some Dino Park, doing some local activities, going over to the museum and Hogle Zoo also,” explained Mystrom. These events will take place through the summer months and are included in the summer fee which is $20.00 or $25.00 if you would like a t-shirt.

The organization is going to be a part of Price City’s International Days celebration in July. “We’re going to be taking care of all the concessions for the Movie Nights so make sure that everyone comes out and help support our Boys and Girls Club. We’re also going to be doing the concession for the Car Show which will be a really cool event,” said Mystrom. All proceeds from both summer events will benefit the club.
