Arnando “Doug” Tollis passed away peacefully at his home in East Carbon with his loving wife by his side on May 19, 2021. Doug was born April 12, 1941 in Pueblo, Colorado to Arnando R. and Lillie Garcia Tollis. He married Flora Gallegos on July 25, 2008 in Wellington, Utah.

Doug worked 24 years as a custodian in the Carbon School District. He was an active member of the Catholic church and was also an active member of the Carbon Masonic Lodge. Arnando had the opportunity to try out for the San Francisco Giants but was drafted into the military where he  proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survived by his wife of twelve years, Flora; four daughters, Michael Ann Tollis, Jessica (Tom) Stock, Columbia, UT, Elexsis (Amos) Vigil, East Carbon, UT, and Desiree (Eric) Torrez, Rock Springs, WY; son, Larry, Jr. (Corrine) Martinez, Green River, WY; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Valdez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Arnando and Lillie Tollis; sister, Fern Wilkerson; and a nephew, Ricky Gomez.
