The Desert Wave Pool has a plethora of activities to help cool you off this summer. Aquatics Director, Tamara Gray stopped by Castle Country Radio to talk about all the details.
“We’re open to full capacity; we don’t have any regulations going on right now. So you don’t need to call and make reservations, just come in have some fun and cool off,” said Gray. The Wave Pool hours are Monday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Swim lessons have begun and there is a new session coming up. “So our next session will start on the 21st I believe and they run every two weeks a new session. You can go from session to session, if you’re going to go on vacation and need to skip one, you can sign up for the next one. You get eight lessons, they’re in the morning Monday through Thursday, $35.00 per child. Come be safe,” stated Gray. There are five sessions scheduled this summer and each session last approximately 30 minutes. The next session will begin on July 21 and running through till July 3, with the third session set to begin on July 5 till July 15, followed by session four beginning on July 19 till July 20, and the final session being offered on August 2 till August 12.
There is lap swim/water walking available for folks in the morning hours. “We have lap swim Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 8:30 am, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and then in the evening as well. So our indoor pool is actually open from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm every day, Monday through Friday,” said Gray. The indoor pool is also opened on Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Admission for lap swim is $2.00 adults, $1.75 for children.
The Desert Wave Pool also offers pool rental for private parties. “We still offer our indoor pool obstacle course, our Wibit for a private birthday party, its only $150.00 for two hours. Very popular for a private party if you want to have it, it includes the indoor pool with the Wibit set up for you. Do a “do it yourself” party, you can do our serve party which comes with ice cream and small drinks. We have pretty much anything that would fit you and what you want to do,” said Gray. The indoor pool rental fee starts at $35.00 per hour for 1 to 40 people and the wave pool rental fee is $125.00 per hour for 1 to 100 people.
