With summer in full swing it’s hard to believe that it won’t be long before we are talking about going back to school. The Emery High Spardette drill team is already thinking about what it will take to get prepared for the coming season and to help with fees they will be hosting a Junior Drill Camp on August 18, 19 and 20 in the old gym at Emery High.

Speaking with first year drill advisor Becky Cummings the funds raised by the camp will be used to help to pay for fees, uniforms and camps that they will be attending to get ready for the upcoming year of competition.

The camp is open to ages 2-13 and the cost is just $25 per participant. Camp will start at 10 a.m. and run until noon all three days.

At the camp, that will be run by members of the Emery drill team, those that sign-up will be broken into groups by age. Each group will be taught two dances, one that they will perform on their own and then one dance that the entire group will perform. They will show off their skills at halftime of the Emery/North Sanpete game on Friday night August 20.
