The Castle Country Acting Company presents Thumbelina on July 16, 17, 19 at 6:30 pm, plus a matinee showing on July 17 at 2:00 pm.

“Our show starts at 6:30 pm and we have two productions actually going. So we have a small production, a junior production with kids ages, most of them 8 to 10 years old. They will do kind of a classical introduction to Thumbelina, so the original story of Thumbelina as Hans Christian Anderson wrote, adapted for the stage and then we’ll take a short break. That first show should run about 20 minutes and then our second show will begin after intermission and hopefully it will run an hour and a half, so plan on about two hours,” said Program Coordinator, Katie Iverson. The production will be held at the Price City Civic Auditorium at 185 East Main Street in Price. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the musical to see the young talent we have in our area.

The Castle Country Acting Company has been around for 12 years and this is their tenth production. The acting company works with children ages 5 years to 18 years old and teaches them all the different aspects of theatre whether that’s costume design, set design, lighting and sound.

The production would not be possible without the help from this year’s sponsors. “We’re so grateful for everybody who’s helped us out this year, we’ve had quite a few people give us donations and we wanted to especially give a shout out to Castleview Hospital and ConocoPhillips they have given us a lot of support and we really appreciate it. They made is possible for us to rent the theatre, and pay for our printing costs and do all that so we can offer this to the community,” stated Iverson. The admission cost is free but donations are greatly appreciated at the door.
