Merlene Jowell Poloni, better known as Mom, passed away July 23, 2021 in Price Utah. Merlene was born August 23, 1930 to Jason and Geneva Jowell.  She married Harold Poloni on January 22, 1949. They were married for 66 years.

She was a kind, generous, loving, and spiritual woman.  Mom showed us every day her love for us. It was all the little things that counted. The house always smelled of homemade bread, unless of course, she was cooking spaghetti.

Mom went back to college when her youngest child was 8 months old to become a school teacher. It was the perfect choice due to her love of children and her continued thirst for knowledge. She taught in several elementary schools in Price and retired after many years.

Mom had many hobbies including gardening, quilting, and  cooking but her true passion was genealogy. She spent countless hours researching our lineage. Some lines going back to 980 AD. She also worked in the genealogy library in Price for many years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We love you Mom and will miss you every day.
