The Hardscrabble Music Festival will be taking place on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29 with three stages set to bring folks some awesome music. Coordinator, Kenny Driggs stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details about the upcoming festival.

“We got two outdoor stages and like you mentioned we are in development right now we’ve got about 75 percent of our acts booked we’re bringing in some really cool talent from all over the west coast, some folks from Salt Lake City, some folks here from Carbon County. We’re trying to represent the music that is already here but also bring some interesting stuff that some of the friends we know,” said Driggs. One of the outdoor stages will be located near the river, while The Rio will post as their indoor stage for evening performances. The genres that they will bring is rock and roll, folk rock, new age and more – there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival will also feature tons of vendors and organizers are still currently looking for anyone that would like to set up a booth. “Food vendors, artists that have crafts that they want to display, any kind of interesting booth they can set up. Really, we want this to be a celebration of arts and what’s already happening here and around Carbon County and Helper,” said Driggs. Organizers want anyone from the community to come be a part of the festival.

Admission into the festival is very affordable and you will definitely get your money’s worth.  “We want to point out that we really, really like making concerts and so we try really hard when we do it. The caliber of entertainment that we produce is worth the price of admission. The main price for what we’re calling our main stage which is out at the city park and includes the river stage is $25.00 for the day or $40.00 for a weekend pass,” stated Driggs. If individuals just want to browse the vendor booths it’s $10.00 for a fair pass and the pass to get into the evening shows at The Rio will be $15.00.
