The Carbon golf team competed in the third match of the season on Monday at the Moab Golf Course home to the Grand County Red Devils. Through three meets this year Carbon has consistently finished in second place behind Richfield and on Monday they claimed the second spot once again with a 327 just seven strokes off of Richfield’s 320.

With Richfield and Carbon taking the top two spots Grand jumped up to claim third with 355, Emery finished in fourth just three shots back at 358 and Canyon View had a 385 to round out the field.

Bode Salas was the top golfer for the day turning in a 74. Jaygen Mullen of Richfield and Wyatt Toney of Grand both turned in a 76. Kyler Clark of Carbon and Kaden Gubler both posted a 78.

Adding to the overall team score along with Salas and Clark,  Daron Garner turned in an 86 and Branden Scovill finished the day at 89.

Richfield will hold on to the top spot once again holding a 12 stroke lead over the Dinos. Emery currently sit 70 strokes off of first place and 30 strokes ahead of fourth place Grand.

Up next for the Dinos will  be a trip to Cove View, home of the Richfield Wildcats. That match will take place on Aug. 25.
