The Lady Dinos soccer team was back on the field to take on the Millard Eagles in a match that was originally scheduled for August 17. The Dinos have been compiling wins since then dropping just two matches all season. Their last two wins have been shutouts against Delta (7-0) and Parowan (4-0). The contest with Millard was a little tighter than that but the Dinos would come out on top 4-3.
Amiah Timothy continued her tear on the season scoring two goal to add to her team leading total of 10. Carbon forced the Eagles to play on their heels for most of the contest. Scoring twice in the first and twice in the second the Dinos held Millard to a single goal in the first half.
The Eagles made it interesting in the second half scoring two goals but that was as close as they would get and Carbon sealed the victory.
Along with Timothy’s two goals, Kinley Cowdell and Kacie Brady each found the back of the net once. Emma Flemmet had seven saves in goal.
For Millard, junior Kara Camp had all three goals.
Carbon sits at 5-2 and they will await the RPI from the Utah High School Activities Association that will be published tomorrow.
The Dinos will have a region home match on Thursday when Richfield comes to Price.
