Tabitha’s Way local food pantry is located in the Utah County area and they help families who are in need of food assistance. They are currently a west regional finalist for a grant and are in need of public votes beginning September 4.

“So yes, Tabitha’s Way was nominated as one of the six finalists for the True Inspiration Awards through Chick-Fil-A. This award has significant meaning toward our pantry because what’s up for grabs is essentially the financial contribution which could equate to anywhere from 250,000 to 750,000 meals in our food pantry,” said Coordinator, Wendy Osborn. Although the pantry is located in the Utah County area, they do offer assistance to Carbon and Emery Counties.

“So Tabitha’s Way and local food pantries of course provide food assistance for families in need. Our goal is to help families and individuals through tough times by providing temporary food assistance, recommendations for the point to self-reliance, to help them get out of there tough time and then also neighbors helping neighbors which is a concept of the community supportive pantry,” said Osborn. Tabitha’s Way has been successfully operating for over eight years, providing food assistance and strengthening communities by fighting the adverse effects of hunger and food insecurity.

There is a voting process that will take place and Tabitha’s Way is seeking assistance from the public to help them obtain the grant. To help Tabitha’s Way acquire votes you will have to download the Chick-Fil-A app on your smartphone, no purchase is necessary to vote. “Part of the awards process is a voting process and so you can vote for our food pantry. Voting starts on September 4 and goes through September 25 but you can only vote once,” said Osborn. You will sign into your Chick-Fil-A app, select rewards at the bottom of the screen, select news on the top left of the screen, click vote now, select the western region and cast your vote.
