The Price Kiwanis Club would like to invite all Castle Country area youngsters who are under the age of 12 years old to come to the annual Kids Day in the Park celebration on Saturday, September 18 at 10:00 am at Washington Park located at 150 East 450 North in Price.

“The plan is Saturday the 18th, Washington Park in Price from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It’ll be a great day of fun for the kids. We’re going to have bouncers, free hot dogs, ice cream, free soda and a whole lot of fun. Face painting, all the activities and a whole bunch of drawings, we’re going to give away a whole bunch of bikes, skateboards, basketball backboards, and $1,000.00 worth of prizes for the kids in the community,” said Kiwanis Club Member, Nick Tatton. All children under the age of 12 years old, in attendance on Saturday can enter the drawing. Children must be present at the time of the drawing in order to win.

The Price Kiwanis Club will be celebrating 100 years in January 2022. “The club, the members are really proud of is the money that is raised with the Radio Auction, Duckie Race, and the fundraisers that money stays local, goes right back into children’s charities in the Castle Country area, and so we’re real proud of that and we’ve been doing it for a long time now – going on 100 years,” stated Tatton. The club has helped numerous children in the community over the years and they are very proud of the history of the club.

“You know Kiwanis spends a lot of time, energy, money from the fundraisers on things like Kids Day that’s coming up, Sub for Santa. We do a lot of things with educational opportunities, scholarships, science fairs, spelling bees, hearing aids, eyeglasses. So there are sport teams that are a big one, a lot of the outdoor activity, and we’re really proud of the things we do and the service to the community,” said Tatton. The next big event that is coming up for the club is the Sub for Santa event that takes place around the holidays.
