On Friday the Carbon Dinos were in Cedar City to face the newest member of Region 12, the Canyon View Falcons. The Dinos are perfect in region play this season and after the meeting with the Falcons, they still were, taking the win in four sets, 3-1.

Carbon sits at 11-1 and 2-0 in region play with nine games left this season, three of which are against non-region teams, the Dinos will look to stay the course and protect their No. 2 ranking in the RPI poll that came out on Saturday.

In the match with the Falcons, Carbon dropped the first set 25-19, but then turned around and swept the next three sets 25-18,  25-22 and 25-14.

For the Dinos, Sydney Orth collected 15 kills and 13 digs. Madi Orth added 13 kills and 21 digs and Lyndee Mower had 17 digs to go along with four serving aces. Benett Peterson collected 21 assists in the win.

Carbon will enjoy a couple of home games this week against Richfield on Tuesday, and then will welcome North Sanpete to Price on Thursday. Both games are set to begin at 6:30.

Next week on Sept. 21, the Dinos will travel to Castle Dale for an important region tilt with No. 4 Emery.
