The Emery cross country team has been making it’s way through the season and on Saturday they were in Provo to participate in the BYU Autumn Classic. The meet included teams from the college and high school level. The boys finished in 12th place out of 23 schools and the girls finished in 18 out of 19 schools.

For the boys, Jess Christiansen crossed the line in 13th place with a time of 16:10.6. Camden Larsen finished in 39th and Merritt Meccariello in 96th. Dillan Larsen, Hayden Christiansen, Mason Hurdsman and Jack Christiansen all competed for the Spartans. Over 177 took part on the boy side of the course.

On the girl’s side, Adaley Lester was the top finisher for Emery at 102 and right behind her was Kallee Cook. Kylee Willis finished in 119. Kallee Luke, Daicee Ungerman, Kadrianne Bird and Rileigh Meccariello also competed. Over 130 girls competed in the meet.

Next up on the schedule is a meet in Rose Park on Wednesday.
