Lady Dinos volleyball is riding high on a five game winning streak and are currently the No.1 3A team in the state. On Thursday night they hosted the North Sanpete Hawks, and it may have taken four sets but the Dinos came away with a 3-1 victory.

Sitting at 13-1, Carbon has made their way through their schedule and so far have only lost one match to Union. Playing across different classifications in the beginning of the season, the Dinos have just seven games left on the schedule that include two non-region games.

Carbon let the first set just slip through their fingers 25-18. Refocused the Dinos would win the final three sets 25-18, 25-19 and 25-20.

The Dinos have been playing a great team game, and it shows in their stat lines. Madi Orth added 25 digs to her total of 198, a number that lands her at No. 5 in the state. She also had 25 digs. Lyndee Mower added 22 more digs to her No. 1 spot bringing her to 299, Mower also sits at No. 5 with 44 services aces. Every game for Carbon seems like a block party with three Dinos in the top 10: Madi Orth at No. 5 with 62, Sydney Orth No. 2 with 103 and Janzie Jensen No. 1 with 105.

The Dinos will take the weekend off to prepare for a big one on Tuesday, in Castle Dale against the Spartans. Game time is set for 6:30.

Emery is 14-0 on the season and No.4 in the RPI. And have not lost a set since August 27 when they beat North Summit 3-2.

After the contest against Emery, the Dinos will play another road game at Grand County on Thursday.

Carbon will be home next on Tuesday Sept. 28 when they will face Richfield.
