The Lady Dinos soccer team were riding a two game win streak when they headed to Moab on Thursday to take on the Grand County Red Devils. Grand just came off a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Emery Spartans when they welcomed Carbon. The Dinos got in and got out taking a 9-0 victory.

Carbon seems to be hitting their stride at the right time headed into the final games of the season and winners of seven of their last eight. Just two games remain on the schedule with the first round of the State Tournament set to begin on Oct. 9.

Grand started out the season strong winning their first three in a row, but have stumbled of late losing their last four.

The Dinos came out and meant business in the first half scoring seven goals, they would then go on to find the back of the net two more times in the second sealing the win.

Six different players put goals on the board for Carbon, but Amiah Timothy seemed to be the one that gave Grand the most trouble scoring three in the contest. Timothy has been a force for the Dinos scoring 17 goals this season.

Kinley Cowdell added her fifth and sixth goals on the year and Molly Banks, Kacie Brady, Beverly Lancaster and Mia Crompton also added goals in the win. Emma Flemmet collected her third shutout in goal as well.

The final week of the regular season is upon us and begins Tuesday when Carbon welcomes Canyon View to Price. Canyon View sits one spot ahead of the No. 5 Dinos in the RPI, they also handed Carbon their last loss back on Sept.7. Then on Thursday the Emery Spartans come to town for the final game of the regular season.

The match with Canyon View will begin at 4 p.m. on the Carbon High soccer field.
