Our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Darwin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 23, 2021 at the age of 69.
He was born May 30, 1952 in Price, Utah to Thomas B. and Helen Peters Larsen. He was the middle of three sons.
Darwin and Maxine were married July 21, 1973 in Wellington, Utah and were blessed to be married 48 years.
Darwin enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was taking them out to the desert to just roast hot dogs or taking rides up the canyons to look at wildlife and taking in the beautiful scenery. He loved shooting guns with his son, grandson and brothers. His passion was hunting with his son, dad, brothers, and uncles. It was always a huge gathering when they got together.
He loved watching the grandkids play sports from soccer to basketball. Darwin played sports and loved every minute of it, including little league, pony league, church softball and basketball.
When Darwin was 15, he excelled and won an achievement award for the United States Marine Corps with a higher-than-average score, of which he was very proud.
Darwin worked in area coal mines then later worked at Anixter, National Mine, Fairmont Supply and Tram Electric. In his younger years he worked with his dad at their co-op station in Wellington, oil wells in mounds, Sanders Texaco in Price and the dry ice plant in Wellington.
Survived by his wife, Maxine; son, Bryan (Amanda) Larsen, Spring Glen; daughter, Denise Larsen, Price; two grandchildren, Lee and Jean Larsen; mother, Helen Larsen, Wellington; brothers, Don (Cathy) Larsen; Clay (Callene) Larsen; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father Thomas B. Larsen.
He will be dearly missed, but we know we will be with him again. “I love you to the moon and back.”
