Juanita (Snow) Rasmussen passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021 in South Jordan, Utah at the age of 94.  She was born January 31, 1927 in Castle Dale, Utah to Samuel Russell Snow and Vera Lucille Hickman.

Juanita married the love of her life Elwin V. Rasmussen on December 9, 1950 in Castle Dale, Utah and were later sealed in the Manti Temple.

Juanita was a spontaneous and gifted individual who loved to have family and friends around her at all times.  She was a very beautiful, caring and engaged woman who set her goals high as she was involved in community events and even became Miss Emery in 1947.

Juanita and Elwin raised up seven wonderful children in East Carbon (Dragerton), Utah.  They both attended many school, social, and sporting everts supporting their children and cheering from the sidelines with Juanita’s cheers dominating over the sound of their coaches.

Juanita was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who loved her Savior Jesus Christ and knew him personally by serving in many callings of which she blessed. She touched so many lives even with candy sweeties.  She loved playing the piano and often played for many people, including playing for Elwin at many church and funeral services.

She was a successful business owner who helped build and manage a 120-unit trailer park while raising a young family, spending endless hours teaching dances and preparing church roadshows.

She enjoyed the great outdoors and spent time camping, hunting, fishing and waterskiing at the cabin in Joe’s Valley and Lake Powell.  She loved entertaining and decorating the house for the seasons of the year, especially Christmas.  Christmas was the best with the big front windows painted, icicles placed perfectly on the tree, and lights on the house and tallest tree for everyone to see.

She treasured her many one-on-one times with Elwin in Hawaii, and if lucky enough, even some tagalong children, family and friends joined on occasion.  She loved bringing family and friends together for good food, conversation and fun which usually included playing (cheating) at many card games.

She was a hard worker and instilled a great work ethic into each of her children by only allowing the playing to happen after the work was done!

Juanita is survived by children, Penny (Kenny) Orr of Independence, MO, Van Rasmussen of Orangeville, UT, Annette (Mike) Watson of Riverton, UT, Doug (Kaye) Rasmussen of Price, UT, Pat (Barbara) Rasmussen of Casper, WY, Richard (Peggy) Rasmussen of Palm Bay, FL; brother, Sharpe (Seretia) Snow of Castle Dale, UT; 21 grandchildren, and 53 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Elwin; parents; daughter, Ruth Ann; siblings, Lucille, Donna, Sterling, Betty Lou, and John.
