The Notre Dame Church’s Annual Oktoberfest Celebration will take place on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2 at the Hope Community Center located at 200 North Carbon Avenue in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representative, Nick Tatton to discuss all the details.

“This Friday and Saturday, October 1st and 2nd. On Friday noon to 4:00 pm with drive-thru for lunch and then 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm with dinner, games available. Saturday they will be open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Lasagna dinner that night from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, games from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, they’ll be there till 10:00 pm that night,” stated Tatton. The activities that attendees can enjoy are the silent auction, games, baked goods and crafts.

“On Friday, October 1 there is going to be some drive-thru only. Call in your order to Katherine at (435) 630-0815 for that. Run up get you some lunch the sausage/kielbasa,” said Tatton. There will be a smothered burrito dinner on the same night from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, then dinner on Saturday, October 2 will be lasagna from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Organizers have requested that those individuals who are not vaccinated should protect themselves by wearing a mask to the event. “The last year and half, we have had with the Corona and we would just ask that people take some precautions and protect themselves, and their friends and neighbors as they attend. Of course, if you’re sick please call in your order, maybe they can even arrange to deliver something,” said Tatton. It’s very important that everyone stays safe while having fun at Oktoberfest.

All of the money raised throughout the two-day event stays local to benefit the church’s charitable and civic involvements. “You know this a great fundraiser for the church but they also like to make donations. On their list this year they have the Children’s Justice Center, the HOPE Squad, some Emergency Utility Assistance Programs, and the Pregnancy Resource Center. So doing some great stuff with the money that is raised so please come out support Notre Dame Oktoberfest this Friday and Saturday,” stated Tatton. The amount of assistance that the church is able to offer is determined by the overall success of the Oktoberfest celebration.
