There will be a Teen Swing Dance held on Saturday, October 2 at 8:30 pm till 10:30 pm at the Price North Stake Center by the Desert Wave Pool. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representatives, Natalie Peck and Brayden Mangum to talk about the details.
“We wanted to have a fun activity where youth could get together to socialize and actually learn a little bit about dancing. There is a country swing youth group that meets locally every Thursday evening and it’s been a real hit lately and we wanted to take some of that fun to the rest of the community,” stated Peck. There will be swing and line dancing instruction given during the dance so teens can learn the latest style of dances. There will be other music played during the dance besides country songs.
This event is free and open to all teens in the Carbon County area. “Teen Swing is for all youth ages 14 to 18, this is for the entire community. Bring your friends, its doesn’t matter what crowd you usually hang out with this is for all of us. The dress is modest or casual, so no dresses or ties are necessary. We just ask that you dress modestly in your regular Levi’s or school clothes and come prepared to have fun,” said Mangum. Masks are strongly encouraged. There will be refreshments and nacho bar available for the teens to enjoy during the evening.
