The regular season came to an end Tuesday for the Lady Dino soccer team. Making their way through the season Carbon has put together another great year and when Grand came to town on Senior Day, the Dinos were ready and put them away 8-0 moving their record to 11-4.

In the second meeting of the season between the two teams, the Dinos took control early scoring five goals in the first half and then adding three more in the second half.  Amiah Timothy found the back of the net six times adding to her team leading 25 for the season, which also lands her at No. 6 in the state across all classes.

Beverly Lancaster and Ada Bradford each added a goal in the win. Emma Flemmet earned the shutout in goal, her fifth of the season.

The Dinos seem to be hitting their stride at the right time winning nine of their last eleven as the will get ready for state tournament play.

On Wednesday morning, the final RPI rankings were released and Carbon sits at No.6, meaning they will get a first round bye and won’t take to the field again until October 13, when they will host the winner of Juab/American Leadership.

Carbon has faced Juab this season with the Dinos walking away with the 3-1 victory.

The game will take place next Wednesday on the field at Carbon High School at 4 pm.
