Price City Council Member, Layne Miller was excited to stop by Castle Country Radio to talk about the upcoming Price City Culture Connection concert set to take place on Thursday, October 14 at 7:00 pm and will feature Mandy Danzig & Kate MacLeod.

Sound Engineer for the Culture Connection is Anna Allen and she was thrilled to finally get Mandy Danzig & Kate MacLeod to come to concert. “Mandy worked as a therapist, so the things that she sings, the songs that she writes talk about social issues, lots of fun and we were thrilled to get her. But Anna got an email the other day saying is it okay if I bring Kate MacLeod with me. Well Anna has been working on getting Kate down here for months and months and months and so it’s going to be a big deal. We’re really, really excited,” stated Miller. The duo will perform songs that are sure to be enjoyed by everyone.

Now with the weather bringing cooler temperatures into our area, it’s time to move the Culture Connection concerts indoors so they will now be held inside the Price City Civic Auditorium. “If you haven’t been to the inside of the civic auditorium you need to come. Just being there looking around is a thrill, its is so pretty, its historic, and it’s been refurbished and it looks fabulous,” said Miller. This is a perfect venue to bring these concerts to the community.

The concert will be streamed live on the Price City Facebook page for those that are unable to attend in person. “That’s become kind of a trademark for us. Some of our musicians were thrilled to come down because they knew we were streaming and so we get listeners from all over,” said Miller.

The next concert will be on Thursday, October 28 at 7:00 pm and will feature Count Tofourula who will bring you all your Halloween favorites. For the month of November the group Slow Ride will be featured on November 11 and for the month of December, a touring children’s choir will take the stage to share all your Christmas favorites.
