On Saturday, October 30, 2021 we lost our sweet Sandy JaeDean Jones Koncher after a nearly lifelong struggle with MS.
She was born July 27, 1949 in Price, Utah to Robert Jay and Ruth Erickson Jones. Sandy was married to Shelley Koncher for 31 years before they divorced.
Sandy was a beautiful seamstress, artist and porcelain doll maker. She loved fishing, water skiing, camping, and as a younger lady she loved dancing especially jazz, tap and ballet. Sandy was a beautiful soul and after her divorce she moved from Colorado to Price where she was an amazing caregiver for her mother until she passed away. She was a graduate of Carbon High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sandy loved her son dearly. She had a way of making people laugh with her great sense of humor, even when she was sick. Sandy was one of the strongest women you would ever meet. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
She is survived by her son, Chad (Jamie Michelle) Koncher; grandsons, Tyler and Branden Koncher; siblings, Diane (Leo) Truscott, Mickey (Ralph) Saccomanno and Jeff Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jay and Kay Jones.
Per Sandy’s wishes there will be no services held. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
