William Joseph Redmond, age 55, passed away at his home in East Carbon on October 19, 2021. He was born March 13, 1966 in Pontiac, Michigan to Patricia Dale Matlock Redmond and Gari Redmond. His mother preceded him in death and his father currently resides in Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Ellen Hill Redmond. They were married for nearly 26 years. Also survived by his four children, Teresa (Mike) Riley, Sean (Jenine) Simmons, Sara Simmons (Austin), Samantha Redmond (fiancé, Aaron Adair); soon to be born, Oliver; 10 grandchildren, Katelyn, Lockton, Lexi, Jenna, Jake, Brayden, Addison, Jaxson, Conner and Ebin; two brothers, Tim (Cathy) Redmond, Randy (Ruth) Redmond; sister, Ann; nieces and nephews, Alicia, Crystal, Nicholas, Michael, Kristen, Caleb, Amy and Casey.

Bill is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in law and nephews from his wife’s side of the family, as well as his honorary sister, Darla.

Bill loved to fish and hunt; he especially loved to hunt rattlesnakes. He enjoyed pool and darts and made many friends in Price doing so.

He served honorably in the US Navy as a submariner and torpedoman on the USS Philadelphia. They were dispatched to the Persian Gulf War. He was honorably discharged.

Bill was a member of the VFW and the ELK’s Lodge. He took the position of Leading Knight. Within a few months, he stepped in to help as Exalted Ruler when the previous ruler stepped away to be with his ill wife. He then became the Exalted Ruler the following year, 2018-19.

He was always willing to help out people in the community and especially his friends. He loved his kids and grandchildren more than anything.
