The local Soroptimist International of Price group is excited to be hosting their 48th Annual Charity Benefit on Friday, November 19 at 7:00 pm at the Carbon Country Club. This annual affair is open to anyone over the age of 21 years old as there will be adult beverages served during the event.

“Soroptimist is an international organization that helps to better the lives of women and children. In Price, Utah we have a small club that gets together every third Wednesday of the month. We help different organizations here in Price like the Women’s Shelter, we get together to help with their needs. We also work with Circles and help give food to those that are less fortunate. So those are just a few of the things that we do and it’s just a fun group,” said Soroptimist Member, Stephanie Cha. Another great service the group assists with is helping women continue their education so that they can better themselves for their families. Other projects that the Soroptimist group has helped with in the past have been the East Carbon Clinic and Eastern Utah Women’s Health Clinic.

The funds earned from the Annual Charity Benefit help the Soroptimist International of Price with their charitable donations. “It will cost $45.00 per person. In that four-course meal you can choose between braised short ribs and salmon, or if you’re just really hungry you can get a little bit of both. We will also have some mashed potatoes with that, a vegetable, and of course, you can’t forget that yummy dessert, and you’re definitely getting your money’s worth for that,” stated Cha. Pre-sale tickets are available from any Soroptimist Member and at the Carbon Country Club or they will be available at the door on the day of the event.
