Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and longtime friend, Jana Marie Powell Young, age 77, passed away November 9, 2021 at Castleview Hospital in Price.

She was born April 25, 1944 in Price, Utah and raised in Wellington to David Shirley and Verla Wittwer Powell.  Married Robert Eugene Young, September 1, 1968 in Carson City, Nevada; they later divorced.

Jana is survived by her son and daughter, Michael (Loralee) Young, Herriman, April (Thurston) Barrett, Payson; six grandchildren, Zackary, Kyle (Taja), Cache, Kacee, Samantha and Nicholas; two sisters and four brothers, Sandy (Babe) Fausett, Castle Gate, Shirley Rudman, Mapleton, Wesley (Kathy) Powell, Silver Reef, UT, David (Nadine) Powell, Iona, ID, Kenny (KLene) Powell, Wellington, Gary (Joan) Powell, Wellington; many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Jana is preceded in death by her parents, son, Damon Ray Young; and brother-in-law, Robert Rudman.

Graveside service, Friday, November 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., Wellington City Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the Wellington Stake Center Friday morning from 10:00-10:45 a.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
